Birmingham break club transfer record to sign Spanish forward Jota from Brentford on a four-year deal



Birmingham have broken their club transfer record to land Spanish forward Jota on a four-year deal from Brentford.
The 26-year-old arrives on deadline day for an undisclosed fee, though the club have confirmed it beats the £6million paid for Nikola Zigic in 2010.
His acquisition comes less than 24 hours after defender Harlee Dean also made the switch from Griffin Park.
The Spaniard scored 23 times in 78 appearances for Brentford after joining from Celta Vigo in August 2014.
