Bid to transform closed Gwynedd pub unveiled

A restaurant, pub, shop and flats are set to open on the site of a pub which closed this year.
This artist's impressions shows how Y Bedol in Bethel will look following a refit approved by council planners.
The pub shut in January when owners the Kalsi family stepped down, with locals describing it as a "great loss to the community".
Under the proposals, three flats will be built on the upper floor while the ground floor would be split between the restaurant and pub and a shop selling local food.
