Bid to replace the radar installation at remote site

0 Have your say Plans to replace the radar installation in a remote area of Northumberland have been submitted to the county council.
The proposals, for the site at Deadwater Fell, situated in Kielder Forest and near the Anglo-Scottish border, are part of an ongoing project by the Ministry of Defence to update its radar systems.
It forms part of RAF Spadeadam, an active Air Weapons Range used for training, which requires coverage to control the airspace and prevent other aircraft entering the danger zone.
