Best baa none: Farmer's delight after sheep's wool coat sold for £100,000 at auction
 

A SHEEP proved it was the best baa none when its wool coat sold for £100,000 at the weekend.
The coat – modelled by its blackface ram lamb owner – sparked a bidding war that was won by a consortium of five farmers.
The sale was one of more than 1000 at Dalmally Auction Mart, near Oban.
John Murray, of Muirkirk, Ayrshire, placed the winning bid.
Explaining the attributes of their £100,000 purchase, John said: “It’s very modern, it’s got a ­tremendous coat, ­tremendous muzzle, he has a good look about him.
