Benefits cheat claimed £66,000 in dead mother’s name to gamble in Las Vegas
 

A woman who stole £66,000 from her dead mother’s pension pot to gamble away in Las Vegas has been spared jail.
Maria Blacklock, 58, moved to Vegas with her mother, Phyllis Millman, in the mid-2000s.
But when Phyllis died in June 2011, Blacklock falsified certificates to make it look like her mother was still alive and even pretended to be her over the phone.
