Ben Duckett edging ahead of Haseeb Hameed as England look for Cook's opening partner for first Test 

England are set to omit Haseeb Hameed from Thursday's first Test against Bangladesh in Chittagong, leaving Ben Duckett to make his Test debut at the top of the order.
Hameed had been touted to become captain Alastair Cook's ninth opening partner since Andrew Strauss retired four years ago, but the signs on the eve of the Test are that the management are going with Duckett - which means a place in the middle order for Gary Ballance.
