Beerhunter: Amber Valley beer festival on now and worth a visit
 

THERE can be few grander, more interesting venues for a beer festival than Strutt's in Belper.
The former Herbert Strutt Grammar School in the town, now re-invented as a multi-purpose community facility, is staging the seventh Amber Valley CAMRA beer festival currently and if you're stuck for something to do over the weekend, you could do a lot worse than drop in.
It opened on Thursday and is continuing until Sunday. It opens at noon each day and the two hour Sunday session, to which admission is free, will see beers at £2 a pint to mop up what's left.
