BBC’s Panorama reveals Type 2 diabetes is MORE aggressive in children than adults
 

Tonight’s BBC1 programme explored the many different faces of the disease. 
Diabetes: The Hidden Killer was filmed over six months in and out of the UK hospitals most affected by the epidemic. 
Among the more alarming cases doctors have seen are those in children. 
Just 16 years ago, there were no children in the UK with Type 2 diabetes. 
In 2000, doctors in Birmingham were baffled by their first case and since 2004, the number of children with the deadly disease has doubled.
