BBC bosses face furious backlash after they REFUSE to apologise to Tony Blackburn
 

BBC bosses are facing a furious backlash over their treatment of Tony Blackburn .
The popular DJ, 73, has been reinstated to Radio 2 and local stations but the corporation refused to­ ­apologise for firing him in February.
It insisted it stood by its decision to take the popular DJ off air, which was due to a row over evidence he gave to a sex abuse probe.
Dame Janet Smith’s report in February backed a BBC claim Blackburn was interviewed about a teenage girl’s claims he seduced her in 1971, while the star insisted the meetings never took place.
