0 Comments A cross-party coalition has been formed in Telford, with Tory MP Mark Pritchard describing plans to move emergency and children’s services to Shrewsbury as “utter madness”.
He was joined by Labour council leader Shaun Davies, who today penned a letter to Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt demanding a “pause” in the Future Fit review.
A final recommendation from the Future Fit Programme Board is expected on Wednesday. It is widely expected to back the closure of A&E at Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital and the moving of its women and children’s services to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.... read more
