Barrow school plant bulbs for the future in urban wood



Year 3 pupils from Dane Ghyll Primary School have met up with Paul Littlewood from the Woodland Trust several times over the past few years at How Tun Woods off Cliffe Lane, Barrow.
Mr Littlewood taught the youngsters about the importance of preserving the natural environment around them and encouraged them to plant daffodil, crocus and other flowering bulbs in the picturesque woods.
Schoolchildren also collected horse chestnuts and acorns and planted them in the ground.
