Barrow drink-driver banned after being two and half times over the limit



Victoria Rose Carroll appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court, in Barrow, yesterday and pleaded guilty to driving while over the alcohol limit.
The court heard Carroll, 35, gave a breath reading of 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, when the legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol.
Prosecutor, Mr Peter Kelly, said the defendant was seen to swerve onto the wrong side of the road while driving a Ford Mondeo in Abbey Road at around 5.10pm on August 12.
The worried witness feared there would be an accident so she called the police.
