Barcelona 4-1 Roma: Ernesto Valverde's side take giant step towards semi-finals as two own goals, Gerard Pique and Luis Suarez seal commanding first-leg advantage over unlucky Italians at Nou Camp



Barcelona are all-but through to the Champions League semi-finals after a thumping 4-1 win over Roma in the quarter-final first leg on Wednesday evening.
The Catalans were indebted to two own goals, from Daniele De Rossi and Kostas Manolas, as they marched into a two-goal lead before Gerard Pique's strike effectively ended the match as a contest. 
But Edin Dzeko gave Roma hope ahead of the second leg at the Stadio Olimpico in two weeks' time when he fired home Diego Perotti's cross with 11 minutes remaining only for Luis Suarez to restore Barcelona's three-goal advantage.
