Bala schools shake-up back on but new campus won't have church status



Plans to reorganise education in the Bala area will be discussed for a second time after a row over church status.
The original proposal to give church status to a new school was withdrawn by Gwynedd Council’s cabinet in June after fierce opposition by parents and governors.
The plan had been for the new 560-place school to have voluntary controlled status when it replaces Ysgol Bro Tegid, Ysgol y Berwyn and church school Ysgol Beuno Sant.
