Baby sleeping aids linked to infant deaths taken off sale by Tesco



Tesco has removed baby sleep aids from sale on its website over suspected links to 12 infant deaths.
The supermarket announced the “precautionary measure” after a US watchdog warned the products should not be used.
At least two other retailers are reported to have stopped selling the products, the Mirror reports.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said the sleep positioners, also known as nests or anti-roll devices, “can cause suffocation that can lead to death”.
Sleep aids include raised supports, and are used to keep babies under six months old in a specific position while asleep.... read more
