Autumn run of salmon yet to arrive in River Tweed



Net fishing on the River Tweed at Paxton is for scientific, rather than commercial purposes, with all fish returned to the river after being caught.
Since the 2015 season, and by kind permission of The Paxton Trust and netsman George Purvis, the Tweed Foundation has been using the Paxton netting station for research purposes, and the station no longer operates as a commercial netting enterprise.
