Australia selector chief Rod Marsh axed after Test slump
 

The former wicketkeeper, who has been in the role since 2014, took the unilateral decision to step down following Australia’s humiliating defeat in the second Test against South Africa.
It was a result which continued a slump which has seen the Aussies lose five on the bounce - 3-0 in Sri Lanka and 2-0 in the three-Test series at home against the Proteas.
Marsh said: “This is my own decision and no one within Cricket Australia has pressured me or even suggested that I should do this.
