Aston Villa transfers: Sunderland's loan bid for Villan rejected - reports



Aston Villa have reportedly rejected the loan offer from Championship rivals Sunderland for centre-back Tommy Elphick.
The centre-half has been tipped to leave Villa Park this window after falling down the pecking order, just a year after arriving from Bournemouth.
Birmingham City and Leeds United have both been eager to snap Elphick up, after the signings of John Terry and Chris Samba by Steve Bruce.
But it appears the Black Cats, who are looking to move on Papy Djilobodji and could also sell Lamine Kone and so need defensive reinforcements, may have to look elsewhere after seeing an offer... read more
