Aston Villa search will not be affected by this manager's availability



Nigel Pearson's Derby County departure will have no bearing on the Aston Villa vacancy, the Birmingham Mail understands.
Pearson left Derby by mutual consent today after less than five months in charge.
The former Leicester boss was a serious contender for the Villa job when it was vacant in the summer, but joined the Rams, with claret and bllue owner Tony Xia opting to appoint Roberto Di Matteo.
Pearson had been the preferred choice of previous Villa chairman Steve Hollis and met with him to discuss the role.
