Assault on Isis in Mosul slows down after fast advance
 

The assault on the Isis-controlled city of Mosul in Iraq has slowed down after making significant early gains.
On the first day of the battle, which is expected to last weeks if not months, Iraq’s Kurdish fighters claimed 80 square miles and pushed Isis’ front line back five miles.
