Ryan Nisbet scored an 11-minute hat-trick to leave stunned Lie high and dry.
The former Ayr and Troon ace burst into life after the home side grabbed a deserved, albeit fortuitous, equaliser with quarter of an hour remaining at Dunterlie Park.
He put Buffs back in front within five minutes and killed the game with a further two goals in the dying seconds.
The 21-year-old’s timely treble put a gloss on the scoreline which was nowhere near as one-sided as it appears.
Buffs were out of sorts for periods of the game and had to soak up a lot of pressure, particularly after the break.
