0 Have your say Till Valley Archaeological Society (TillVAS) established its annual James IV Memorial Lecture four years ago to remember a Renaissance prince who, with thousands of other Scottish, English and French soldiers, died at the Battle of Flodden.
James IV was the last monarch to die in battle on English soil and he has something in common with Richard III, who was the last English monarch to die in battle on English soil.
