Apple to start manufacturing iPhones in India: Lower-priced SE handsets to be made in Bangalore

Apple is gearing up to manufacture its lower-priced iPhone SE models in India.
The Cupertino company’s Taiwanese manufacturing partner is setting up a plant in the south city of Bangalore that will focus solely on assembling the handsets.
The move comes as Apple seeks to boost its share in the world's fastest growing major mobile market, where handsets far cheaper than Apple's iPhones dominate.

It follows reports that surfaced just two weeks ago that revealed Apple was looking to tap into a booming middle class while sales in China slow.
