Appeal for sleeping bags and thermals to keep Nottingham's homeless warm this winter
 

A group of volunteers who give up two of their evenings each week are appealing to the public for donations of sleeping bags and thermals to keep homeless people in Nottingham warm this winter.
Every Tuesday and Wednesday night about 20 volunteers from the Street Knights group hand out hot meals, snacks, sandwiches, toiletries and bottled water to those who are vulnerable and hungry in the city.
The volunteers, who stand outside Marks and Spencer in Albert Street, are now calling on good Samaritans to donate unwanted clothes, thermals and sleeping bags in preparation for the coming winter... read more
