Appeal after man's skull fractured by brick thrown from railway bridge



Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with a fractured skull and collapsed lung when a brick was thrown from a railway bridge.
The 20-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries- including fractures to his eye socket- when the object was thrown from the bridge on Warren Road, Washwood Heath.
The victim remains in hospital following the attack, which occurred around 5pm on Friday August 11.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of serious assault, and has been released while enquires are ongoing.
