'Appalled' by council's 'penny-pinching' U-turn over leisure centre glass



THE chairman of the panel that scrutinises decisions over children and young people in the borough says he is appalled by the "penny-pinching" council's U-turn over the controversial windows at Grimsby's new swimming pool.
As reported, the council had earlier this year announced that it had "listened to members of the public" and would be having a film applied to obscure the view into the pool.
It followed two incidents of indecent exposure and many concerns raised by parents from the day the pool opened in January.
