'Apocalypse' infection training at Royal Derby Hospital with fire engines and decontamination tents

An apocalypse-style crisis scenario is being played out at Royal Derby Hospital to test how medics would react to a contamination disaster.
The entrance to the emergency department was cordoned off so decontamination tents could be rigged up to accept mock casualties played by actors following an "outbreak".
As part of the doomsday scenario – which started at 1pm and is planned to get worse throughout the day – the actors from the University of Derby will be guided through the tents and put through a decontamination procedure.
