Joshua was made to work in his first defence of both WBA and IBF belts on October 28, eventually forcing a 10th-round stoppage of a brave Carlos Takam.
A week later, Wilder racked up his sixth consecutive WBC title defence, banging out Bermane Stiverne inside the first round.
The American promptly laid down the gauntlet to Joshua and Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn is keen to make the unification bout.
