To see where Anthony Foley’s great love of rugby came from all you had to do was wait around after one of his matches and see the smiles of his parents, Brendan and Sheila. They were part of the furniture at Munster and a real rugby family.
They were fervent supporters of the province and even for someone like me, a Munster man who went and played for Leinster, they never let that rivalry get in the way. The Foleys were always so welcoming and friendly and happy to chat.
