'Another FAILURE' European markets struggle to make gains prompting fears
 

Germany's premier index the DAX was down by around 0.1 per cent, while France's CAC 40 was flat, as the single currency strenthend.
Connor Campbell, financial analyst at Spreadex.com, said: "The region’s indices weren’t too happy with the euro taking back ground against both the pound and the dollar (against the latter it is up nearly half a percent), with the DAX and CAC both sliding 0.4 per cent after the bell."
