Animal pornography offences increase around Merseyside



A shocking 93% of people charged under extreme pornography laws on Merseyside had images of animals and humans having sex in their possession.
Freedom of Information request by the Liverpool ECHO has revealed that of the 174 people charged with having sick images, the majority - 162 - had images involving animals.
At least 30 people in Merseyside have been charged this year under Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 - which makes it illegal to look at images which threaten the life of the participants, show damage to people’s genitals or images involving animals - dead or alive.
