Angus Robertson is elected deputy leader of the SNP in a convincing win over his rivals
 

ANGUS Robertson has been elected deputy leader of the SNP in a convincing win over his rivals.
The Moray MP and Westminster group leader took 52.5 per cent in the four-way contest.
The result was announced as the SNP conference got under way in Glasgow today.
Robertson replaces Stewart Hosie who agreed to step down in May after damaging revelations about his private life.
Robertson said he was “bowled over” by the result as he addressed record crowds at the SECC.
And laying down a marker for his new job, he said: “We must reach out to the 55 per cent who voted No in 2014.
