Andy Murray beats Grigor Dimitrov to win China Open and close gap to Novak Djokovic
 

The Scot only played in China in an effort to chase down Novak Djokovic, who did not enter, at the top of the world rankings.
He beat fellow Brit Kyle Edmund in the quarter-finals before overcoming Spain’s David Ferrer to set up a final with Dimitrov, who beat Milos Raonic in the other semi-final.
Murray broke a nervous Dimitrov in the first game of the match as the Bulgarian served up to costly double faults.
He could have gone up a double break in the seventh game of the set but Dimitrov fought back in a game that repeatedly went to deuce.
