The world No.2 beat Spaniard David Ferrer 6-2 6-3 victory in Beijing.
The clash lasted just an hour and a half as Murray dominated to cruise to victory.
Murray will face Canada's Milos Raonic or Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov in Sunday's final.
It is the Scot's ninth final of the year after a stunning campaign, including triumphs at Wimbledon, the Australian Open and a gold medal at Rio 2016.
Murray joins Johanna Konta in the final after the Brit beat Madison Keys 7-6 (7/1) 4-6 6-4 this morning.
