An art teacher has turned her mastectomy scars into an incredible piece of art
 

Breast cancer often makes women feel as though their bodies are no longer their own. Having to undergo a double mastectomy leaves scars – both physical and mental.
But, one survivor has spent the past six months turning her scars into an incredible artwork.
Sue Cook, 62, was diagnosed with cancer back in 2008 and was told that there was a strong possibility that she wouldn’t survive.
After six months of gruelling chemo, she had to have one breast removed.
That was followed by daily radiotherapy and later, a second mastectomy.
