Alzheimer’s singalong sensation Ted McDermott's Black Country roots

And his car sing-alongs with his son while battling Alzheimer’s has made him an internet sensation.
The 80-year-old, known as the Songaminute man because of his memory for songs, became an online star after a video of him singing with his son Simon on YouTube went viral.
And the pensioner has since signed a record deal with world famous record label Decca.
Ted grew up in Wednesbury – and his singing career began in the many local clubs and pubs.
And although he left the Black Country and moved up north in the 1960s, settling in Blackburn, he still has family here.
