All aboard historic express
 

STRATFORD-UPON-AVON Mayor Cllr Juliet Short welcomed a train load of visitors who were making an historic visit to the town.
On Saturday, 1st October, the Class 40 Preservation Society (CRPS) brought one of its diesel locomotives on what was the first time a train had made the direct journey to Stratford from Bury, the home of the East Lancashire Heritage Railway.
There were 450 people on board, who were welcomed to Stratford by the Mayor for a    four-hour stay, before setting off home via Warwick and Leamington.
