Alison wants to be voice for teenagers in hospital
 

Helping teenagers feel comfortable in hospital and solving other healthcare problems has been the goal of one young West Midlands volunteer.
Alison Birch, 13, has been working with the NHS in Shropshire in a bid to find new ways to solve healthcare issues, particularly those affecting children and teenagers.
The youngster said she wanted to get involved after finding it "odd" that adults would be making decisions on behalf of young people without actually asking them what they thought or wanted.
