Alder Hey surgery requires improvement, inspectors find



Alder Hey has been told to make safety improvements in surgery and the community mental health services it provides for young people.
Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) looked at surgery, together with medical care, after it said concerns had been raised.
The trust has now been told it must make changes in surgical services, which has been downgraded to “requires improvement” from a rating of “good” at its last inspection.
