Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand label England "laughing stock of world football" after Sam Allardyce departure

Alan Shearer launched an angry attack on Sam Allardyce and accused him of turning England into a laughing stock.
Former England captain Shearer rounded on the greed in the modern game and said Allardyce had made a “huge error” after being caught by a newspaper sting.
Shearer said: “I’m angry, I’m sad, I’m staggered at the misjudgement from a guy who admitted this was his dream job.
“It’s incredible and a catastrophic misjudgement by Sam and his advisors. For him to sit in that room in front of those guys is a huge, huge error.
