Alabama rot: Derbyshire vet issues warning to pet owners after two dogs die

Dog owners in Derbyshire are being urged to stay vigilant to defend their pets against the potentially fatal disease Alabama rot.
This comes after two whippets belonging to the same person were killed by the distressing condition.
Kelly Freeze, head vet at Bright Side Vets in Swadlincote, outlined what the disease is and how to avoid it.
She told the Burton Mail: "Alabama Rot is a disease which causes small clots to form in the blood vessels of the kidneys and skin.
