Aircraft crash lands onto road near Pocklington

An aircraft has crash-landed onto an East Yorkshire Road this afternoon.
The glider is believed to have "overshot" the runway at Wolds Gliding Club near Pocklington, before crash-landing across Hodsow Lane, near to the junction with the A1079 York Road at about 2.50pm this afternoon.
The pilot is being treated for minor injuries, while his passenger is believed to be unharmed.
The road has since been closed, with traffic diverted along alternative roads. East Yorkshire Buses said the X46 service would run along adjacent road, The Balk.
