Accused remanded over death of man found injured in street



A 29-year-old man has appeared in court charged with killing a father-of-two who was found fatally injured in the street.
Dean Hartley was charged with the manslaughter of Karl Swift, who was discovered with serious head injuries in New Road, Halesowen, West Midlands, on September 9.
The 33-year-old victim, from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, who was a father to two boys, was taken to hospital but died of his injuries the next day.
Hartley, of Burnaby Crescent in the Walkley area of Sheffield, went before Dudley magistrates on Wednesday, court staff confirmed.
