Abusive David Bird keeps job at Hull domestic violence helpline after beating wife



A Hull MP has called for action after a man who left his wife "black and blue" was allowed to continue his council job answering 'lifeline' calls to domestic abuse victims.
David Bird, 55, went on a drunken rampage and head-butted, slapped, punched and dragged his wife, Nichola, to the floor after she interrupted him watching a Euro 2016 football match to talk about their marriage.
