Aberdeen duo Adam Rooney and Danny Rogers desperate to impress after Republic of Ireland call-up
 

ABERDEEN duo Adam Rooney and Danny Rogers are desperate to impress Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill after being called up for the national team.
The pair have been drafted in after a spate of injuries and join teammate Jonny Hayes in the Irish squad.
Rooney has been a goal machine for the Pittodrie side and will look to impress this week in training and earn playing time against Georgia and Moldova in World Cup qualifying.
The former Inverness forward said: "I'm going to come in, train hard, and try to impress over the next few days.
