Abdul Abbasi, 32, charged with attempted murder after woman hit by car in Bransholme



Police have charged a man with attempted murder after a woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a car in Bransholme.
The 65-year-old woman was walking in Redmire Close, North Bransholme, around 4.40pm on Sunday afternoon when she was hit by a reversing car. It is believed she was with her young grandchildren at the time of the crash.
The driver left the scene but was arrested by officers a short time later.
