0 Have your say An abandoned burger van which landed its owner with fines of more than £1,200 has highlighted a growing problem in Amber Valley.
Valentin Pirvan, from Sheffield, was brought before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates charged with abandoning a burger van at Pye Bridge Industrial Estate.
He failed to attend the court hearing but the case was proved in his absence by Amber Valley Borough Council.
He was found guilty and sentenced to a fine of £440 aplus a victim surcharge of £44 and prosecution costs of £723—a total of £1,207.
