Abandoned puppy left with no food or water saved by police in Telford
 

A member of the public flagged down the Brookside safer neighbourhood team which was responding to reports of a dog left alone in a property.
Officers forced their way into the house and found the dog was in the kitchen with no food or water. Constable Gareth Bee said he believed the dog had been left alone for a number of days.
He said: “It looks like a puppy under a year old, it looks like a lurcher cross.
“A member of the public flagged us down in Brookside centre and said one of his neighbours moved out and hasn’t been back.
