AA names the best hotels in Britain: Andy Murray's Cromlix, a lavish Lancashire retreat and a 19th-century Welsh coaching inn crowned winners
 

A country house hotel in Lancashire, Andy Murray's hotel in Dunblane, a 19th-century coaching inn in Wales and a grand 1860 manor house in Northern Ireland have all been named the best hotels in Britain.
The accolades were dished out by the AA at a swanky award ceremony in London at the Grosvenor Hotel last night.
England's hotel of the year, Northcote, boasts 26 plush bedrooms and a Michelin-star restaurant; while the Andy Murray-owned Cromlix is 34-acre estate steeped in luxury; Wales' Angel Hotel in Abergavenny boasts a rich history; and the Manor House Country Hotel in Northern Ireland... read more
