A38 crash update: Teenager seriously injured and driver of car arrested
 

Police have now confirmed that the person who was most seriously injured in a crash on the A38 was a teenager.
The 18-year-old was a passenger in a Vauxhall Insignia, which left the southbound carriageway between Ripley and Coxbench at 7.10pm last night and careered off the road.
The driver of the car, a 22-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving in connection with the incident.
